I'll go with whatever/whomever Bill James recommends. Maybe some more guys from the 1800s. And the pioneers of Japanese ball.

The baseball hall of fame is a ridiculous waste of time. It has always been nothing more than a masturbatorium and shill for some grossly overpriced tourist-trap town. Check out Canton and/or Springfield-- a much more satisfying experience.
